broken, Book 1

broken is a dark fantasy webcomic about two people struggling to help each other get through one day at a time while the world falls apart around them. Huvrye is a homunculus general overwhelmed by guilt over his role in a genocide. He is magically tethered to Yin, an undead psychic forced to repeatedly relive his and Huvrye's worst memories. Book 1 covers the first four chapters of the story, in which Huvrye and Yin flee the last known bastion of civilization while chased by monsters, both literal and metaphorical.

This comic is rated Mature for things like graphic violence (including suicide) and body horror.

I've been working on broken since 2015, and the story so far is available here to read for free online, in a panel-by-panel form with animated elements, or you can download the first four chapters as PDFs here, which has traditional comic formatting and a combined total of over 200 pages. Physical  books are also available, which contain extra concept art at the end. Additionally, if you select the physical book + extras, your book will come with the bookmark & bookplate that were included as stretch goals in the original crowdfunding campaign. Due to packaging errors, all the remaining book copies have smudges on the covers where ink rubbed off of one cover and onto another some. Some books have smudges only on one side, some have both, some are barely noticeable, and some are very noticeable. Here are photos of two of the worst covers:

As far as I've seen, all the interior pages are perfectly fine, so these books are only discounted a few dollars from the price they were originally sold at. I will do my best to send out the nicest copies first and leave the ugliest for last, but I can't promise for sure what yours will look like.
